Finalist for the Achievement of the Year Award
For the project « Family Spring Break»
Les Résidences Soleil is one of the proud finalists of the “Achievement of the Year” Distinction Award, awarded annually by the Quebec Seniors’ Housing Group (QSHG).
For the 7th consecutive year, the QSHG has awarded Distinction Awards to seniors’ residences that make exceptional contributions toward improving the lives of their residents. Over 100 projects are submitted each year and rigorously evaluated by an independent panel of judges. It is therefore a great honour to be selected among the finalists for this prestigious award.
Family Spring Break is Back in 2020
The “Family Spring Break” project was organized in all Les Résidences Soleil across Quebec, from March 1 to 10, 2019. Our primary objective was to provide opportunities for grandparents to spend quality time with their grandchildren by participating in the numerous activities organized and adapted for kids. We also want to create more frequent visiting habits for our residents by organizing fun and inviting activities for children.
Many activities are offered, such as: treasure hunts, story time in pyjamas, family movies, beach parties at the pool, birthday parties with Paw Patrol, cupcake decorating, and more! In addition to these activities, the Savoie family also offers free meals to all children under 10 accompanied by their grandparents.
Family Spring Break in Numbers:
- 10 full days of activities adapted for kids
- 14 participating Les Résidences Soleil
- More than 200 free kids’ meals
- Over 140 free activities open to families and the general public
- More than 200 children aged 10 and under
- More than 60 teens

For the Savoie family, family is our most precious asset, which is why everything we do is based on getting families together.
