Ice storm-Info

Update April 8th 2023 10:30

*All of our electrical circuits across the province are functional.*

Dear residents, families, relatives, visitors, staff and professionals,

Since many electrical, telephone and internet lines were down across Quebec, due to April 6th Ice storm, we create this page toreassure you about the situation in each of our residences.

First, know that in all our living environments and Résidences Soleil, several relief plans are planned to always keep our residents safe during bad weather causing power cuts :

  • Our internal communication systems (reception intercom, apartments and common areas) are functional, even in the event of a power cut.
  • Our security systems (emergency calls, emergency pull cords, medical team, etc.) are functional, even in the event of a power cut.
  • Audio messages reassure our residents and explain the situation.
  • Our emergency lines are always ready in the event of a cut in the general lines.
  • We are equipped with efficient generators.
  • The team of each residence is in place 24 hours a day.
  • Our kitchens are equipped with various sources of energy, allowing us several options to cook all the breakfasts, lunches and suppers desired
  • The multifunctional dining rooms are open, illuminated and heated at all times.
  • The activity and leisure rooms remain open, even in the event of a power outage.
  • Our succession plans are working, and we are often able to take in external people in need. We have several partnerships with mutual aid organisations such as the Red Cross to reach out and help the community in our own way.
