However, there may be exceptions, such as young pre-retirees!<\/p>\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n                    \n\n\n<div class=\"block-accordeon \">\n    <span class=\"block-accordeon__label\">Bloc accordeon<\/span>\n    <h3 class=\"block-accordeon__title\">Can I have a housekeeper?<\/h3>\n    \n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\"><a href=\"https:\/\/residencessoleil.ca\/en\/our-residences\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Les R\u00e9sidences Soleil<\/a> offer a housekeeping service included in your lease, as well as several \u00e0 la carte service packages. Our qualified and trusted caregivers will be introduced to you upon your arrival. We offer the flexibilit\u00fd to choose recurring services, payable monthly with the lease and\/or spontaneous services.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n                    \n\n\n<div class=\"block-accordeon \">\n    <span class=\"block-accordeon__label\">Bloc accordeon<\/span>\n    <h3 class=\"block-accordeon__title\">Are residents allowed to have pets?<\/h3>\n    \n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\">While we understand how important the presence of pets is to many people, our decision not to allow them in our Residences is based on a number of considerations designed to ensure the well-being of all our residents, staff and visitors. By maintaining a pet-free policy, we aim to create a space where everyone feels comfortable and safe. Several factors influence this decision:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\"><strong>Allergies<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\">Many people are allergic to animals. Among other things, it would be difficult for our staff to enter an apartment with an animal and provide the services to which everyone is entitled, in a fair and irreproachable manner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\"><strong><strong>Fear of animals<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\">It&#8217;s important to take into account people&#8217;s individual fears of animals. In fact, their presence can give rise to concern and even anxiety, which can compromise their general well-being.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\"><strong><strong>Running away<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\">If an animal runs away from its apartment without its owner, this could provoke a state of fear in some people who are not at ease in their presence. As a result, our staff will be obliged to cease their activities in order to search for the animal, so that everyone can regain peace of mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\"><strong><strong>Unexpected absences<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\">If the resident-owner of the animal-is ill, or has to be transferred out of the apartment for a few days, and no one is available to care for the animal in the owner&#8217;s absence, this could lead to hygiene problems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\"><strong><strong>The resident&#8217;s ability to care for the animal<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\">Following a change in their state of health, people who are initially able to care for their pets on arrival at the Residence may one day no longer be able to do so. Neglecting pet hygiene can lead to a number of problems, including the spread of foul odours throughout the residence&#8217;s floors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\"><strong><strong><strong>Our corporate motto<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\">Residents, employees and partners, together we&#8217;re one big family. We do our utmost to keep things peaceful for everyone. Let&#8217;s not forget that what we accept for one person must be acceptable for all residents. Whether you are entitled to a full or partial pension depends on how long you have lived in Canada after the age of 18.&nbsp;Read on to find out more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\"><strong>Full pension<\/strong><br><br>Normally, if you meet the conditions of one of the following two categories, you are entitled to a full pension:<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-large-font-size\"><strong>Category 1<\/strong>: You have lived in Canada for at least 40 years since your 18th birthday.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-large-font-size\"><strong>Category 2<\/strong>: You turned 25 on or before July 1, 1977, and at that time you :&nbsp;<div class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-large-font-size\">A) Living in Canada&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-large-font-size\">B) OR were not living in Canada, but had lived here for some time since your 18th birthday&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-large-font-size\">C) OR held a valid Canadian immigration visa<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-large-font-size\">D) AND have lived in Canada during the ten years immediately preceding the approval of your OAS application.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\"><strong><strong>What are the eligibility criteria?<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\">Three factors are taken into account to determine whether you are eligible for a full OAS pension:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-large-font-size\">Your age<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-large-font-size\">Your legal status<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-large-font-size\">The number of years you have lived in Canada<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\">For anyone living in Canada, you must :<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-large-font-size\">Be 65 years of age or older;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-large-font-size\">Live in Canada and be a Canadian citizen or a person authorized to remain in Canada at the time your pension application is approved;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-large-font-size\">Have lived in Canada for at least 10 years since your 18th birthday.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\"><strong><strong>When should I apply?<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\">You should apply for an OAS pension six months before your 65th birthday or when you receive an OAS application form.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\">Normally, you should apply for yourself. If you are applying for someone else, contact Service Canada to find out how.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\"><strong><strong>How do I get one?<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\">To obtain an application kit, you can either contact Service Canada, pick one up at a Service Canada office, or print one off the website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\">To find the Service Canada office nearest you, click HERE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\">In the kit, you&#8217;ll find detailed information to help you complete and submit an Old Age Security pension application. It also tells you where to send your completed and signed application form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\"><strong><strong>What documents will I need to provide?<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\">If you were not born in Canada, or if you have not lived in Canada continuously since the age of 18, you will need to provide proof of your legal status in Canada, such as citizenship or immigration documents. You must also provide a document listing all your dates of entry into and departure from Canada, from the age of 18 to the present day. the solidarity tax credit replaces the QST credit, the property tax refund and the credit for individuals living in a northern village.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\">The solidarity tax credit is calculated according to your situation by adding up the amounts to which you are entitled for each of the components of this tax credit, i.e. the QST component and the housing component.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\"><strong>How does one obtain this credit?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\">To receive this tax credit, you must be registered for direct deposit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\">If you have not already registered, you can do so in several ways:<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-large-font-size\">By using the Register for Direct Deposit online service.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-large-font-size\">By enclosing with your income tax return a blank cheque marked \u201cVOID\u201d on the front and bearing your name and social insurance number (the cheque must be drawn on an account at a financial institution with an establishment in Canada).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-large-font-size\">By completing a Request for Direct Deposit (form LM-3.Q-V or LM-3.M-V), and including it in your income tax return.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\">If you do not have a bank account, contact&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.revenuquebec.ca\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Revenu Qu\u00e9bec<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\"><strong>Who may be eligible?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\">You can claim the Solidarity tax credit if, at the beginning of a month included in the period from July 1 of a given year to June 30 of the next year, you meet the following requirements:<\/p>\n\n\n<div
