On Wednesday, August 13, at 1:30 p.m.<\/font><\/strong>, Les R\u00e9sidences Soleil Manoir Granby<\/strong> will be filled with the sounds of a musical tradition dear to the community’s heart! To everyone’s delight, the Tourn\u00e9e des Petits Bonheurs of the Festival international de la chanson de Granby (FICG) will once again make a highly anticipated stop at Manoir Granby this year!<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

For the 14th year, the magnificent glass-enclosed dining room at Manoir Granby will welcome more than a hundred residents and their loved ones<\/strong> for a moment of intergenerational sharing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Designed to bring a ray of light<\/strong>, this musical tour brings comfort to those who do not have easy access to live performances, taking the Granby International Festival out of its usual venues to meet people where they live.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Senior residences, community centers, palliative care facilities, rehabilitation organizations, and organizations for people with intellectual disabilities: everywhere, music is offered with respect, gentleness, and authenticity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just before taking the stage at the Palace de Granby for the Grand Concours Hydro-Qu\u00e9bec<\/strong>, two young semi-finalists will give an intimate concert, specially designed for an older audience<\/strong>, where talent and emotion will be on display.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

\u201cPerforming in such an intimate setting is a unique experience. It\u2019s not the size of the crowd that matters, but the closeness, the eye contact, the silence between two notes. Something deeply human happens in those moments, something you don\u2019t experience on a big stage.\u201d<\/p>\n\u2014 <\/strong><\/mark>An artist who participated in a previous edition. <\/strong><\/strong><\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The Festival international de la chanson de Granby<\/strong>, recognized as one of the most important French-language music competitions in North America, supports emerging talent with over $100,000 in prizes and scholarships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Festival’s Social Development component goes far beyond the competition, embodying a desire to give back to the community<\/strong> by using music as a vehicle for well-being and inclusion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
