Staying true to our social mission, Les R\u00e9sidences Soleil \u2013 Famille Savoie had the honor of presiding over the \u201cNo\u00ebl en lumi\u00e8re\u201d benefit concert for the 15th consecutive year. Granby, December 7, 2025<\/strong> \u2013 The \u201cNo\u00ebl en lumi\u00e8re\u201d benefit concert by the Grand Christmas Choir took place on December 5 and 6 before two packed halls, gathering nearly 1,800 spectators. This major musical event by the Granby Hospital Foundation (CHG), under the honorary presidency of Les R\u00e9sidences Soleil \u2013<\/strong> Famille Savoie<\/strong> and presented by MNP, Dessercom, NRC Industries, and Beaudry Roy Audioprosthetists<\/strong>, raised $105,186<\/strong> in support of the Oncology department at Granby Hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to an additional donation of $5,400<\/strong> from Les R\u00e9sidences Soleil \u2013 Famille Savoie<\/strong><\/a>, the total amount given to the CHG Foundation rose to $110,586<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Two dedicated Funds that provide real help for those affected by cancer<\/font><\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

With the support of generous financial partners, 100% of ticket sales were donated to the Placide Rodrigue<\/strong><\/a> et Louis-Philippe Janvier<\/strong><\/a> dedicated funds of the CHG Foundation<\/strong>, focused on improving local cancer care and enhancing the quality of life for patients in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Development of a new Oncology Space at Granby Hospital<\/strong>
The funds raised will contribute to the creation of a modernized environment, including: examination rooms, areas for specialized treatments, and a warm and welcoming waiting room for patients and their loved ones. This reorganization will promote interdisciplinary teamwork and improve the patient experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Financial support for young adults aged 18 to 35 living with cancer<\/strong>
The funds will also help reduce the stress of non-medical burdens, allowing young adults to focus on what matters most: healing. Since its inception in 2018, the Louis-Philippe Janvier Fund<\/strong> has supported 61 young adults, distributing more than $307,750<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

A bright, festive, and heartwarming concert<\/font><\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The stage came alive with a spectacular performance by 300 local artists, accompanying one of Quebec\u2019s most beloved singers, Annie Villeneuve<\/strong>. Known for her talent and sensitivity, she captivated the audience from the very first note.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 250 choristers from the Foundation Choir<\/strong>, Musicophonie<\/strong><\/a>, Douze-en-Ch\u0153ur<\/strong><\/a>, Petits Chanteurs de Granby<\/a> <\/strong>and the L\u2019Envol singing troupe<\/strong> charmed the crowd throughout the evening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 50 musicians from the Harmonie de Granby<\/strong><\/a> and from the Orchestre de Chambre de Granby<\/a><\/strong> also moved the audience deeply. This record number of performers was led by Bruno Laplante<\/strong>, in his second year as conductor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Artistic director Johanne Lussier<\/strong> and her collaborators Bruno Laplante<\/strong> and Pierre-Andr\u00e9 Ducharme<\/strong> curated a remarkably high-quality repertoire, crafted with great attention to detail.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

This new song deeply moved the audience. The special performance included Bruno Laplante on bass, Pierre-Andr\u00e9 Ducharme on piano, Jean-Pierre Landy on guitar, Richard Messier on drums, Johanne Lussier directing the Musicophonie troupe, and Annie Villeneuve on vocals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe Twelve Days of Christmas\u201d \u2013 A Thrilling Musical Duel<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a humorous staging, choristers and musicians faced off in a friendly musical duel, led by conductor Pierre-Andr\u00e9 Ducharme and choir conductor Bruno Laplante. Which side won \u2014 Ducharme\u2019s or Laplante\u2019s? The audience, for its part, was completely charmed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tribute to Placide Rodrigue<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A star, suspended at the side of the stage, shone brightly during Minuit Chr\u00e9tien<\/em> as a tribute to the founder of the Grand Christmas Choir, the late Mr. Placide Rodrigue. This moving gesture, created by Johanne Lussier and brought to life by set designer Pierre Lamontagne, was one of the most emotional moments of the evening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
