Grand Vélo-Don at Résidences Soleil Manoir St-Léonard
For the second year in a row, Residences Soleil Manoir St-Leonard is holding a bike-a-thon to raise funds for a deserving organization. This year, the money raised will be given to the Adhémar Dion palliative care home. Mr. Eddy Savoie, honorary co-chair of the event, will disclose the amount donated, accompanied by Ms. Claudette Dion, at the celebration to be held on September 23rd.
Everyone’s invited!
Residents, employees, friends and family members are all invited to join us to raise funds for this worthy cause. Those who participate will have the option of riding a stationary bike or swinging (on 2-seater swings). Everyone can take part in this rewarding initiative by joining us on Wednesdays from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. as well as on Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., until July 26 inclusively.
A number of weekend activities are also planned in conjunction with the Vélo-Don, among them canvas painting activities, a hot dog lunch, karaoke and much more! On Wednesdays, participants will also be able to attend the taping of the De Bouche à Oreille show, alongside Mr. Savoie, the renowned Claude Valade and guest artists.
A splendid initiative
The event is the brainchild of Ms. Nancy Lepage, interim director of Résidences Soleil Manoir St-Léonard, who has already cycled over 250 kilometres to date. She is on site every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday, ready to devote several hours to pedaling for the cause. As she did for the Vélo-Don’s first edition, Ms. Lepage is wearing a shirt on which everyone can jot down words of support and their signature on the back.
