Inauguration of Jean-Louis-De-La Corne Park

On August 6, 2019, the inauguration of the new development of the Jean-Louis-De La Corne Park in Contrecœur took place. Nearly a hundred people joined the lively celebrations surrounding the unveiling of this new intergenerational recreational space.

Thanks to the last fundraising golf tournament held by the Mayor of Contrecoeur in collaboration with Les Résidences Soleil – Savoie Group and Logistec, an amount of nearly $45,000 was raised to help improve and enhance the park. This included the installation of more modern equipment such as petanque, a new children's play structure and groomed walking trails.
Several guests of honour were present alongside Mayor Maud Allaire for the official ribbon cutting, including Eddy Savoie, President and Founder of Les Résidences Soleil – Savoie Group, Norman Desjardins, Chief Executive Officer of Logistec, Suzanne Dansereau, Member for Verchères, Xavier Barsalou-Duval, Member for Pierre-Boucher-Les Patriotes-Verchères and several others.

Involved in His Community

As a businessman, but first and foremost a family man who has lived in Contrecoeur for many years, it was important for Mr. Savoie and his family to contribute to the improvement and sustainability of this space that welcomes all generations.

At Les Résidences Soleil, our goal every day is to improve the lives of our seniors. Our approach is based on compassion and our desire to help people, which has been a winning combination for our residences. We consider ourselves fortunate and we want to do our part, which is why it is important for us to get involved and give back to our community.
– Eddy Savoie, President and Founder of Les Résidences Soleil – Groupe Savoie
