The Julie-Tour 2026: a 40th edition more festive than ever!

Julie-Tour 2026

On June 24, over 300 cyclists and cycling enthusiasts of all ages gathered for the Julie-Tour 2026 at the toboggan hill to participate in the 40th edition of the Julie-Tour. Organized by the City of Sainte-Julie, this event is a 10 km family-friendly cycling route, and Les Résidences Soleil is proud to be the official presenter for the 17th consecutive year.

The traditional kickoff to the Saint-Jean-Baptiste Day celebrations, the Julie-Tour was part of an enhanced edition of the festivities surrounding the 175th anniversary of the City of Sainte-Julie.

The event also paid tribute to the 75th birthday of Guy Lafleur, a great legend of Quebec hockey. For the occasion, participants were invited to wear the jersey of their favorite player or hockey team, whatever it may be!

As the official presenter of the Julie-Tour since the opening of Les Résidences Soleil Manoir Sainte-Julie in 2009, the Savoie Family was once again very happy to be present at the event.

« Ever since the Manoir Sainte-Julie opened in 2009, Les Résidences Soleil has taken great pleasure in participating in the Julie-Tour, because it’s an event that truly brings local families together. Every year, we’re delighted to see so many people come together for a bike ride in such a festive and unifying atmosphere, where grandchildren, parents, and grandparents take the time to enjoy this moment together. Ultimately, the Julie-Tour perfectly embodies the values that are close to our hearts: family, intergenerational bonding, well-being, health, and the joy of being together. We’re already looking forward to next year! »

A Funny journey

Several entertainment stations punctuated the route and enhanced the participants’ experience thanks to the presence of street entertainers, urban stilt walkers, funny characters and even a juggler balancing on a hoverboard dressed as a hockey referee!

However, the highlight of the day was undoubtedly the spectacular foam cannon, which sparked laughter among both children and adults. Many participants enjoyed running through this impressive cloud of white foam, reminiscent of a snowbank in the middle of summer!

At the conclusion of the 10 km ride, Ms. Savoie drew the winner of a gift basket valued at over $125, generously donated by Les Résidences Soleil. The basket included several items for cycling enthusiasts: a lock, a water bottle with a strap, a rear reflector light, a set of hex keys, and maintenance products. The gift basket was awarded to a young cyclist from the region, who was very proud of his participation in the event and delighted to have won the prize. All participants also received a door prize, generously provided by the Savoie family.

Les Résidences Soleil is proud to support events that encourage physical activity, community life, and the joy of gathering together. By supporting causes that resonate with us and bring us together, such as the Julie-Tour, we affirm our commitment to being part of the active and social life of the communities we serve.

Many thanks you to the Ville de Sainte-Julie, the organizers and all the participants for this 40th edition!
