Three centenarians honored in October at Manoir Granby!
At Les Résidences Soleil, every life story is unique, and some of them literally span a century of history and memories. Three centenarians who have lived at Les Résidences Soleil Manoir Granby for over 10 years were honored during the October birthday celebration, honoring this remarkable age surrounded by their loved ones and alongside all of our birthday parties of the month, employees, and residents.
This moment is especially remarkable because it is a rare occasion to have three centenarians, in the same residence, in the same month! And even rarer that two of them are men.
During the festivities, our three centenarians shared some humorous and wise reflections on their daily lives, their vision of happiness, and the reasons why they feel at home at Les Résidences Manoir Granby. They also expressed their gratitude to the Savoie Family, thanks to whom they now enjoy free rent for life.

Reaching 100 years of age is a remarkable achievement, and Résidences Soleil recognizes this through its Privilège Soleil Program, which offers free rent to residents who have lived in the same Résidences Soleil unit for at least 10 years when they reach 100 years of age!
This is one of the oldest programs established in the early years of the family business in recognition of their loyalty and appreciation.

Did you know?
It was in 1999, as part of the International Year of Older Persons, that Les Résidences Soleil celebrated the birthday of the very first centenarian at Les Résidences Soleil, the late Mrs. Laurence, at Manoir Boucherville.
For the occasion, she received the best birthday present ever: free rent for life!

Living to 100, an unexpected gift
Although none of our three happy centenarians ever imagined they would live to be 100, each of them shared some secrets for living a long life with us.
