World Diabetes Day
World Diabetes Day is celebrated every year on November 14. This date was chosen in honor of Frederick Banting’s birth, the man who discovered insulin in 1922. 100 years after his birth, Diabetes International Federation and the World Health Organization instituted a day dedicated to diabetes awareness.
